Contest held by ABTT provides new talents with opportunities to promote their work all over the coun

One of the most awaited events in the country for 2009 got a new and creative logo. That's because the Brazilian Association of Textile Technicians (ABTT) has disclosed the name of the winner of the contest to choose the logo for the XXIII National Textile Technicians Congress (CNTT). The Rio Grande do Sul publicist Diomar Sartor, of the Porto Alegre agency PRODV, had his work recognized with the first prize. Cláudio Roberto Mugnaini, from Taubaté (SP), got the second prize, followed by Jacson Montibeler, from Indaial (SC), who got the third prize. The logo is being used all over the country in promotional material for the congress in printed and electronic media. The event will take place in 14-17 April 2009 in Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, São Paulo, along with Tecnotêxtil Brazil 2009.

Criteria used in the award

The contest judging committee, made up of Association directors, congress organizers, Senai and the FCEM group used as criteria for the award the identification of the logo with the city of São Paulo, apart from information connected to the textile chain. "Our intent was to provide design professionals, publicists, students and citizens who are into art and drawing with an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities to the entire country of Brazil. The most creative ones have been awarded. An opportunity was given for these new talents to get exposure", said one of the contest judges, the association treasurer Reinaldo Aparecido Rozzatti. The contest rules were published in the ABTT website.
