Textile segment will have the opportunity to weave great business deals in São Paulo

The experienced FCEM group, which has organized major fairs such as Febratex (SC), Maquintex (CD) and Tecnotêxtil/Seritex (GO) takes the latest innovations in the textile industry to São Paulo.

More than 50 brands have confirmed their presence in the event, which includes several segments of the textile chain, among them: cutting machines, sewing machines, embroidering machines, looms, raw material, printed cloth, industrial automation, finishing, tools, threads and labels.

Simultaneously with the fair, the 23rd National Textile Technicians Congress will also be held, a traditional event in the industry which gathers students, teachers, businessmen and workers in the textile industry, addressing important economical, social, scientific and environmental issues, launching trends and providing and excellent opportunity for getting up-to-date professionally.


Fair Highlights

XXIII National Textile Technicians Congress - CNTT

A traditional event in the textile segment which gathers important names in the sector to present trends and discuss topics of relevance for the industry. In this edition, the central topic will be natural fibers, since 2009 was proclaimed the year of Natural Fibers by the United Nations.

Four panels, 56 lectures and eight courses will be held coordinated by the Brazilian Association of Textile Technicians, which ensures a high level of technical contents.

São Paulo, the country's economic capital
The São Paulo market needs no introduction. It will suffice to say that:

  • The city's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is R$ 144 billion, i.e., 15% of the Brazilian GDP (SMF/2005).
  • The city has 240 thousand stores, 72 shopping malls receiving 30 million visitors a year with 7 thousand stores of various segments and 34 thousand factories.
  • São Paulo is the home of 38% of the 100 largest private companies with domestic capital, 63% of international groups installed in Brazil, 17 of the 20 largest banks, nearly 100 of the 200 technology companies, and BOVESPA – the largest stock market in South America, and Futures and Commodities Exchange – BM&F, the world's sixth commodity exchange in business volume.
  • It has the largest hotel complex in Latin America, the most complete hospital center in the country and is the largest cultural center in Brazil. It is also one of the world's restaurant capitals, a permanent host of large, worldwide renowned events, fairs and expositions, home of respected academic and research centers, apart from other references.
  • Every year, nearly 10 million visitors go to the city to leverage their businesses or make professional contacts, do some shopping or enjoy a cultural calendar in tune with what is going on in the world.

São Paulo Textile Market

  • The São Paulo textile industry had a revenue increase of nearly 5% in 2007, leaping from USD 12.5 billion in 2006 to USD 13.1 billion. - São Paulo share in the textile and clothing industry

Expo Center Norte

It has a 62 thousand m² area, including 6 pavilions and 13 auditoriums. It provides the required comfort and infrastructure for the organization of large scale events. Air-conditioning and a parking area for 6.5 thousand vehicles are other features that will ensure convenience for the fair visitors. Expo Center Norte also features an important advantage: it can be easily reached from all major São Paulo centers, being only 20 minutes away from the Guarulhos International Airport and 40 minutes from the Congonhas Airport.
