After the 2011 edition, Tecnotextile Brazil is confirmed as being a large textile event in the economic heart of the country.

The first edition, held in 2009, brought together the principal national and international textile industry brands, that showed to one of the largest world markets their innovations and technology in cutting machines, sewing machines, embroidery, weaving, raw materials, imprinting, industrial automation, finishing, trimmings, yarns and labels. Together with the XXII National Textile technical Congress, organized by the Brazilian textile technical Association took more than 14 thousand people to the event, during the 4 days of the fair.

In 2011, 17 thousand people passed through the Yellow Pavilion of the Expo Center Norte, to check out the novelties from the national and international textile industry. With a total of 15 countries represented at the fair, by 110 exhibitors that summed 250 brands, the show attended the various sectors of the textile chain, registering a growth in the order of 20% in relation to the 2009 event.

For 2013, the expectations also increased: the fair will be held in the Blue Pavilion of Expo Center Norte, guaranteeing even more space and a better infrastructure for visitors and exhibitors.

Brasil Fashion Designers is a cultural competition which has the aim of discovering, encouraging and publicising the creation of fashion in the locations where it is made.
